Honeymoons
Your honeymoon gets matched to an advisor who specializes in romance travel, and we’ll do what we can to match a like-for-like public rate if you find one — so you’re never choosing between personal service and price protection.
Most couples book 6–9 months ahead, once the wedding date and budget are set — but the honeymoon budget and the wedding budget compete for the same dollars, so it helps to lock in travel costs early with Complete Getaways rather than see what’s left over afterward.
Either works. A trip right after the wedding lets you decompress immediately; a delayed “honeymoon-moon” a few weeks or months later avoids planning the trip while exhausted from wedding logistics and can even land better off-peak pricing.
Many do — complimentary room upgrades, champagne or a cake in the room, a special dinner, or a couples’ spa credit. It costs nothing to mention it when booking, so we always flag it to the property on your behalf.
Your Complete Getaways advisor will ask about pace (relaxing vs. active), setting (beach, city, overwater bungalow, safari), and must-haves (privacy, nightlife, adventure) for each of you, then narrow to a shortlist rather than picking from an overwhelming global list.
All-inclusive resorts offer predictable costs and zero planning once you arrive; a custom multi-stop itinerary (e.g., two islands, or a city-plus-beach combo) offers more variety but requires more coordination — we can quote both so you can compare.
Start immediately — routine passport renewal currently runs 4–6 weeks plus mailing time, and expedited service is 2–3 weeks plus mailing (about $60 extra). Given wedding-week stress, get this done as early as possible so it’s never a last-minute scramble.
It varies enormously by destination and style, but couples commonly spend more per night on a honeymoon than they would on other trips — we can build options at a few price points so you can see what each budget actually buys.
Yes — these are easy add-ons at most destinations and a common way to make the trip feel special without overhauling the whole itinerary.
Especially so — a trip booked 9–12 months out has more time for something to disrupt it (illness, a family emergency, a work conflict), and “Cancel For Any Reason” coverage must be purchased within 14–21 days of your first deposit to remain eligible later.
Let us know as soon as a delay looks likely — many bookings can be adjusted or held with a small deposit while dates firm up, but the flexibility narrows the closer you get to peak travel dates.
